Festivals: Connecting and Sharing the Power of Art

As we’re entering festival season, we cannot help but feel the buzzing excitement. There’s something magical about both film and music festivals. It must be because of the way in which festivals manage to bring a large crowd of people together, from everywhere, to celebrate art while at the same time introducing and connecting them to new friends and experiences.  We have certainly enjoyed our fair share of festivals over the years from Sundance, the largest independent cinema festivals in the United States to The South by Southwest (SXSW) to Tribeca to Coachella to Cannes to Roskilde, the biggest music festival in Scandinavia, and so forth. However, any film sales agent will most likely tell you how it’s not fun to be stuck in 3 degree weather, completely sleep deprived and with a raging blizzard outside while having the pressure on you to sell movies for millions of dollars. Similarly, any music festival organizer will probably say that putting a massive event together is one of the hardest things they’ve ever done.

They do both have valid points, but at the same time, having experienced the festival circuit ourselves from both a sales and organizing standpoint, we can safely say that the adrenaline rush and friends you meet along the way makes all the coffee binging, sleep deprivation, paranoia and fear of messing up worthwhile.

Where are we exactly are going with all of this? Team IVA will have some very exciting news to share with everyone in about a week’s time so stay tuned  and follow our Social Media for more updates coming soon!

Thank you for your continuous support and love,

Lots of love,
